Tour Exhibition of New Autodesk 2009 Products for Chinese Manufacturing Started in Beijing
On 5th June 2008, 2D and 3D digital design world leader Autodesk held a new product releasing conference of 2009 version for manufacturing titled as “Experience It Before It Is Real” in Beijing This starts the new product exhibition in China. Open to design engineers, this conference shows new functions of new products. These new products include AutoCAD, Invertor, AliasStudio and Showcase.

A Qingdao Company was Judged to Pay RMB 2 Million Yuan of Indemnity for Use of 36 Sets of Pirate Software
A company in Qingdao was taken to court by USA Microsoft、USA Autodesk and other company for use of pirate software. In 16th April, Qingdao intermediate People’s Court judged that the company pay the three companies about RMB 2 million Yuan of indemnity. This is the first copyright case related to foreign affairs in Qingdao.

In China 1500 Large Enterprises Realized Use of Authentic Software
Liu Bingjie is head of General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China and National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China. He expressed on 10th of this month on the meeting on nation wide use of authentic software in Beijing that China has achieved a stage result in promotion of authentic software in enterprises, about 1500 large enterprises have used authentic software and 1300 enterprises were listed in the fist lot of companies which shall be supervised to use authentic software.

In April 2006, eight departments of National Press Bureau released the Plan on Promoting Use of Authentic Software in Enterprises, and comprehensively planed the promotion of authentic software in enterprises. The promotion has been started. In February 2007, nine departments including National Copyright Administration of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China established Inter-Department Meeting System to Promote Use of Authentic Software, which further strengthened promotion work on use of authentic software in enterprises.

According to Liu Binjie, each member company, each local government and the administration department of each industry, over the past year, have joined and held more than 200 times of training on enterprises’ use of authentic software. Central authorities of China and all provincial government authorities guided and inspected 1500 enterprises which used authentic software, supervised checking on the work of about 3600 enterprises and investigated and prosecuted about 1100 enterprises which broke related laws.

Sales in Mould Industry in 2007 is over 60 Billion
Mould industry in China has gone for half a century. As early as 20th century, China attached importance to mould industry. It was suggested that the government should support the development of mold industry which would move the development of manufacturing. Relevant experts say that the processing cost in China is relatively low, the molding industry tend to be mature and related technology is proceeding rapidly, working members have had a high quality, the environment for domestic investment is better and better and many foreign companies choose China as their molding bases.

China has its ship making listed in the first three in the world and it exports to more than one hundred countries
Three Chinese companies were listed in world top ten ship making companies and fifteen were listed in top fifty. China, Korea and Japan are named as the largest ship making countries.

Fortune: 2008 Global Fortune 500 List Includes 35 Chinese Firms
On 10 July, 2008, Fortune published the 2008 Global Fortune 500 List. The list was topped by U.S. retailer Wal-Mart with sales of 378.799 billion dollars. 35 Chinese firms are include in the list.

“Made in China” Faces Pressure
Export rebate rates are lowered. RMB exchange rate rises. China undertakes to cancel 12 industrial subsidies. China adopts a series of energy conservation and emission reduction measures.

In 2007, changes occurred and influenced the manufacturing industry in China. “Made in China” started from big scale development to strong ability development. For Chinese manufacturing companies, this road starts hard. In the same year, we read many reports saying that numerous companies moved, stopped production, or went bankrupt under changing policies and serious market pressure. However, according to reporters, many companies analyzed the market, employed information technology to optimize management, production and development, and optimistically faced market which maybe more serious in the future.
